Sophie Gallagher is a freelance singer and musician based in Europe. Sophie pursued her early studies at the Royal College of Music in London (Josephine Baker Prize) and then a Masters at the Haute École de Musique in Geneva with Heidi Brunner and privately with Raymond Connell. In May 2022 Sophie and her duo partner pianist Émile Chandellier competed as finalists and won 1st prize for the Gustav Mahler Society Lieder Competition.

During the 2022/23 season Sophie made her debut as ‘Fiordiligi’ (Così Fan Tutte) with the Orchestre Mozart de Genève and in March 2022 made her debut with a jump in for the group Gli Angeli as a Soprano soloist for their Bach St Passion concerts tour (including Victoria Hall) and CD recording which will be released in 2023.
